I would like to express special thanks to Madam Zalinda, our respective lecturer who help a lot in completing this research. The making of Data Prosessing and Report...
After finished with collecting data, I’m proceeding with data processing. The task of processing, presenting and analysing data are even harder than collecting data. I have to deal with 30 questionnaires that include 11 questions each. Then, the collected information from the questionnaire has been systematically organized and thoroughly examined to make it easier to understand.
There are 2 types of data that I have to process which are qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative is used to interpret the information collected from questionnaire. On the other hand, qualitative data is used for interpret the information from interview session and also open-ended question from questionnaire. Process and presenting qualitative data is easier than quantitative data. It is because quantitative data needs me to deal with number to organize the data. The presentation of qualitative data is slightly different from the presentation quantitative data. Qualitative data are usually presented in their original form. In other words, it means that, I don’t have to change or edit any word from respondents.
After settled with the finding, we are requires to present the finding to Madam Zalinda to evaluate my skills in presenting finding of my research. After that, I have to complete my research report based on what I have done and also the finding of the research. I hope that everything will be going smoothly during presentation until submitted the report.

The making of Data Collection....
Next step is data collection. We have learned about data collection which a process of collecting data from difference source. There are 2 categories of data which is primary and secondary. Primary data come from our own investigation while secondary data comes from reading what others had experienced. After research proposal has been approved, we are allowed to collect the data. I have distributed a sample of questionnaire to my respondents which are UniMAP’s students (15 male, 15 female). During distributing the questionnaire, I found that most of the respondents like about the topic ’Managing Emotion in Communication among UniMAP’s Students’. After had done with distributing questionnaire, I need to conduct an interview with a counsellor.
Unfortunately, I could not find counsellor at SMK Kuala Perlis as planed before. It is because the counsellor is having a course at that time. So, I call my previous an English lecturer at school to ask her about other counsellor. Then, other counsellor also can’t make it. After that, when I told my previous English teacher about my research topic, she become very interested on that topic. So I decided to interview her and she is willing to be interviewed. A lots of thanks to Miss Amyza Hazni bt Mohd Radzi.

The making of Research Proposal....
After had learned about how to conduct research project very detail in subject research and project this semester, we are starting to conduct the research step by step. We have to start from research proposal, data collection, data processing and data presentation, research report writing, literature review and oral presentation. First of all, I need to come out with one topic on communication as my research topic. Then, discuss the topic and come out with research question towards the topic to the temporary lecturer who is Madam Umi Kalsom. It is very hard to satisfy her on the topic, so that I need to keep changing the topic because the scope is too wide and not suitable. Thank God, finally she accepts my topic which is ‘Managing Emotion in Communication among University of Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Students’.
At first, I find it hard to conduct a research on this topic, but after find the information from internet and read a book named Interpersonal Communication, I become more interested on this topic. Then, we have to prepare research .In preparation to complete the research proposal, we need for consultation and discussion with the lecturer which is Madam Umi Kalsom at that time.

Although it is quite hard for me, but I think it is okay if we realize our mistake earlier than never realize it. So, I learn from mistake, then, try to come out with the good research proposal.

First impression towards Research and project course...
The first thing come to my mind when I look at the study guide about Research and Project subject are I will undertake a project and I was eager to conduct a research. I’m interested towards this subject. Actually, my previous lecturer during semester 3 had told that Decom students will take Research and Project subject on Semester 4. During Semester 3, Decom students had learned the basic about writing research report in Academic Studies 3. So, it is not new things for me because I had learned it before and also interested on it.
Previously, in Academic Studies 3, we had learned generally about research question/hypothesis, data collection, data analysis and the conclusion. After that, we had simple research and use all those things as guidance. Then, we need to prepare for research report that includes background, aims, method, finding, conclusion and recommendation towards the topic. Now, I am facing the real research project in Semester 4. Of course, it is more difficult than academic studies 3 because we have to learn deeply about research project. Then, we need to conduct the research out from college. For me, it is quite difficult to face the real situation towards certain issues.
